What are Tithes and Offerings?

A tithe is simply 10% of your income. An offering is anything given beyond a tithe, but not in place of a tithe.

Why Should I Give a Tithe or Offering?

Although, it is easy to think that tithing and offering solely benefit the church to which you are giving, that is not the case. The church is God's house and giving to God's house should strictly benefit God, right? Well, the tithe was not created for God's benefit. He already has everything that He needs. Tithing was created to benefit us. Giving back to God's house teaches us how to keep God first in our lives and live unselfishly. God rewards that behavior by blessing us in many areas in life, such as our relationships and finances. He put tithes and offerings in place to teach us how to prosper over time.

How Can I Give Tithes and Offerings?

For our members and guests who would like to donate tithes and offerings, we offer multiple options to do so above. Whether you're giving a tithe, offering, or some other special contribution, remember 2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Give out of love, not because you feel like you have to.
